The VSF-Suisse Team
VSF-Suisse was founded in 1988 by veterinary medicine students at the University of Bern. Today, we are a medium-sized NGO, employing over 150 local staff in five African country offices and ten at our headquarters in Bern. All our colleagues in the country offices are local specialists. Together, we manage around 50 projects in Ethiopia, Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Kenya, Mali, Niger, Somalia, South Sudan, Chad, and Togo.
As a member of the Sufosec Alliance for Sustainable Nutrition and the VSF International network, VSF-Suisse works closely with strategic partners to achieve maximum impact. VSF-Suisse is a partner organization of Swiss Solidarity and Zewo-certified – a testament to its transparency, economic efficiency, and effective use of funds.
