Vaccinate for Africa
Swiss veterinarians support their professional colleagues in Africa: veterinary practices from all over Switzerland collect the income from one week’s vaccinations and donate all or part of it to VSF-Suisse to support our work in Africa. This year the vaccination week takes place for the 15th time
Unfortunately, due to the current situation we have to postpone this year’s “Vaccination for Africa”. The campaign will now take place in the first week of December, from 30 November – 5 December.
In the coming weeks we will inform about the details of the new date. Already registered participants will also receive all information about the new date via email or post.
We hope that all participants will also take part in the campaign in December and that the new date will enable many additional new registrations. A huge thanks already now for your participation and solidarity!
We wish all veterinary practices much strength and health in these difficult times and look forward to seeing you again for the campaign in a few months!
VIRBAC Schweiz AG is the exclusive sponsor for this campaign

How your donations help
For example, for training and further education:
The donations from the campaign “Vaccination for Africa 2020” are used, for example, for the training and further education of VSF employees, beneficiaries and partners in Africa. To train people from disadvantaged regions, it is necessary to have qualified trainers. Therefore, the continuous training of our employees in the field is as important as the training of our beneficiaries.
“I support VSF Suisse and the campaign Vaccinate for Africa because I consider their work to be meaningful. For people who live in zones where there is not enough food, animals can be a matter of survival, and healthy animals are more resistant to disease. Fortunately, in Switzerland we have enough professionals who can take care of the animals’ health. With my support, I make this possible in poorer countries as well.”
